He had a strong race and was able to go with a bigger group around Eric Frenzel. He raced again at the Top 10 as 7th after his 10km.

Different feelings at the rainy day...

After the trailround was cancelled in the morning because of the wind, a competitionround was helt anyway. Best norwegian after it was Jan Schmid as 16th with a great jump at 103m. Because of a lot upwind he was 38 sec behind the jumping winner Yoshito Watabe (103,5m).

"I´m really satisfied, special after the last weeks it was a bit suprising. My jumping was good, even my landing wasnt the best today. At the race I had a very good ski as well, what made it easier." Jan Schmid

During the race, Jan was able to run forward in a big group infront, as well including the strong germans Frenzel and Rydzek. He made a good job at the track and could finish as great 5th after his 10km. Fastest norwegian was Jørgen with the 5th fastest time at the track. Solid competition at the first race at home...

The conditions at the sunny Holmenkollen were perfect for the next World Cup competition after the World Champs in Lahti.

After the jumpinground best norwegian was suprising Thomas at good 122m and placed 11th with 46 sec back to jumping winner Rehrl (131m).

"The jumping was quiet stabil but i got my best performance in the competition." Thomas

Espen had a good jump as well (123,5m) and placed 13th 6 seconds behind his teammate. Nearly same good jump for Magnus as well (120m). He placed 20th with 1:07 min behind the top. Jørgen was close behind him as 23th only 11 seconds behind Magnus. Indeed Håvard is still struggeling at the hill and placed 25th with 1:25 min behind. Same feeling for Simen, who jumped quiet well at the trailround but placed 29th with 1:29 min back. Also Truls and Sindre had their worst jumps at the competition, placed 45th with 2:59 min behind & 50th with 3:16 min.

While the race, Magnus did a great job at the track and could run forward to a great Top 10 rank and finished as 8th in the end. Espen had a quite solid race and finished as well at his 13th position. Ineed our fastest norwegian was Mikko, who could forward 21 positions and came as 14th into the finish after his 10km, followed really close by Jørgen as 15th. Our best from the national group is Thomas at a good 21th place. "Its always fun to compete in Holmenkollen with a big homecrowd. It was all over at good race but with a bad finish."  Thomas  told after it.
Håvard was indeed fighting for the last points as 28th in the end. For Simen was it the world cup debuet in Oslo and a 37th place on it, while Truls and Sindre hasnt no chance to run into the Top 30 far behind.
"It was Ok, little bit to bad jump and cross country shape. Maybe I was a bit nervous before as well but it was cool anyway."

Winner of Oslo´s race was Akito Watabe after a last sprint with Eric Frenzel at the finish. Björn Kircheisen made the podium complete. Congrats to that!

Our team was very close to Gold but anyway not sad about the result...

Magnus Krog & Magnus Moan was the perfect team for the last competition in Lahti. Both made a great job at the hill, special Magnus Krog who had the farest jump of all athletes at 126,5 m! In the end our team was 4th with 24 seconds behind the leaders France and only 8 seconds behind the germans (Rydzek & Frenzel).

While the race, our guys were able to close the gap to the germans very quickly. The teams were racing together the whole race. Even in the end was it possible to get a gap forward of the germans for a few seconds at his 4th lap. But the gap was closed again at the last kilometers and Krog and Rydzek was fighting at the last lap for the victory. At the last meters the german was again to strong and won the Teamsprint as well ahead of your norwegians.

Including his time difference from yesterday he started 2:33 min behind jumping winner Rydzek. Magnus had again better jumps as well with 102m & 102,5m, placed 14th with 3:17 min back to the top. Finally also Espen found his better shape at the hill again (103,5m & 102m) and placed with the time from the day before 21th with 4:12 min behind.

German Eric Frenzel had a awesome performance at the track today and could win his 4th Triple in a row ahead of Johannes Rydzek and Bernhard Gruber! Congrats to all!

Behind the top our guys did good races in their groups. Our best man was like yesterday Magnus Krog. He could race in a group with Kircheisen and Herola and race forward. In the end he won a sprint at the finish line with Herola and finished as 7th with the fastest time at the track. Strong performance! Jan raced a longer time in a group ahead of Magnus, but wasnt able at the last 2 rounds to hold his position and placed as good 12th after it. Nevertheless a good weekend for him after he was competing 2 weekends at the COC beginning of January.
Indeed Espen had a good race with a quit good time at the track as well (7.) and were able to run into Top 20 as 18th after his 15km.

Our team is on the way...

While the top 3 after the Jumping part with Rydzek, Gruber and Costa were on the same level and started at the same time ahead all others, our team had some solid jumps. Best jumper was again Jan at 101m. He started as 10th with 49 sec behind the top. Magnus had a good jump at 100,5m as well. He placed 19th with 1:30 min back. Espen is indeed not satisfied with his jump at 99m, so he ranked 23th with 1:48 min behind. Mikko was close behind him as 26th and 2:02 min back. Only Håvard is searching his shape at the hill. He reached only 91,5m and placed 33th after the first part.

While the race there was group of 4 with Rydzek, Frenzel, Gruber and Costa in the front were was fighting for the victory. As well today there was another fotofinish between the 2 germans and again Rydzek, who gets the yellow BIB today, was a bit faster than Frenzel. Third place was same as yesterday italian Samuel Costa! Congrats to all!
Behind, Jan was able until the last lap to race in a smaller group with Watabe and Pommer for position 7. After his 10 km he finished again at Top 15 as 13th. Indeed our fastest man at the track, Magnus, did a good race. He was in a group with german Kircheisen and able to run forward and finished as best norwegian as 10th! So he have the best chance tomorrow for a good Top 10 Result in the end at the Nordic Triple.

Different feeling at our team...

This sunny day is like an up and down for Team Norway. Most disapointing moment was happen during the competition round at the top of the hill. Jarl had discolacted his shoulder again after he wants to get into his suit. A few phsyio´s tryed to help him there. In the end he wasnt able to compete. Nearly same bad news from Magnus Moan. He gets sick yesterday morning and isnt able as well to compete.

So best norwegian after the jumping round was Jan as 15th with 51 sec behind the jumping winner Bernhard Gruber. Indeed Espen was a bit sour after his jump. He landed at 96,5m and placed 25th with 1:05 min back. Magnus was pleased with his jump at 100,5m and started 4 sec behind his teammate as 28th. Håvard dont has his best jump today as well and placed 31th with 1:21 min back, Mikko was 36th with 1:30 min behind.

During the Race Jan was including in a bigger group. He had a good race with the 4th fastest time at the track and finished as 10th after his 5 km! Well done Jan!
Indeed Mikko had the fastest tracktime and were able to run forward and was 20th after it. Magnus and Espen was include this group with Mikko and placed close behind him as 21th and 22th. Håvard had a bad day and came as 38th into the finish.

Rising up performance from the whole team at the hill...

Same procedure as every day - best man at the hill as was again our youngest Jarl. He had an awesome jump at 115m and had a 16 sec lead of austrian Franz-Josef Rehrl and 34 sec of Eric Frenzel with a big and close group of 18 other athletes behind. Magnus K had a goof jump at 110m as well - seems that he found this days his performance at the hill again. He placed 14th with 56 sec behind Jarl. Same good jumps from Magnus M (109m) and Jan (110m) as well. Both were close to Magnus K as 17th 1 min and 20th with 1:04 min back. Espen wasnt that happy with his jump at 109,5m today, but he was also include this big group as 22th only 5 sec behind Jan.

At the race Jarl did a good job in the front but was caught at km 5 from the big group behind him. In it was all of our 5 norwegians include. At the last lap was something happen at the front and the group was getting smaller time after time. Frenzel and his teammates were fighting for the victory eachother. Magnus M, who raced as well behind time wasnt able to go with the germans. So in the end it was a complete german podium again and Rießle could win this competition ahead of Rydzek and Frenzel.
Best norwegian and quite close to the podium was Magnus K as strong 4th! At following positions was like a big finish sprint and Magnus M came into the finish as 7th in the end. Espen wasnt able to keep pushing as well at the last lap and finished in another group behind as 18th. The goal from Jarl was a top 10 place...but he lost his shape again at the last lap and was only 23th after his race. Same situation for Jan, he finished close behind him as 24th, after he had a better race yesterday.

But one norwegian was missing today, Jørgen. He gets a abdominal influenza that morning... We hope he will be well soon again!

Good teamresult at the track...

Like yesterday the best after the jumping competition was Jarl. He did a great jump at 112m and head the lead with 46 sec of the next ones. Just an awesome performance! :)
Next norwegian was Jan, who is back at the WC after 2 weekends competing at the COC. He reached quite good  109,5m and placed 9th 1:08 min behind Jarl. Better jump as well from Jørgen today at 107,5m as 14th with 1:22 min back. Same for Magnus K who get into his race as 18th only 10 seconds behind is teammate. Our other Magnus M was as well happy with his jump at 104,5m and was 21th with 1:43 min behind Jarl. Only Espen was a unhappy norwegian after he was DSQ after his jump because of his suit.

After the start of the race Jarl did his best and could hold the lead until 6,5km. He was caught from a bigger group with 5 germans, Watabe and our Jan as well. Jarl did try to follow Jan, but at the last lap he coultn follow anymore and was caught from another group behind him with Jørgen, Magnus & Magnus. Indeed Jan did a good race and could race until 9km with the strong german group. But in the end he could safe a good Top 10 result and was todays best norwegian as 8th! Strong comeback! The fast racers completed a strong norwegian result as well. Jørgen, Magnus M and Magnus K had a sprint at the finish line and ranked as 9th, 10th and 11th after it!  Our youngest Jarl came as 15th into his finish.

In the end a strong performance of the whole team -  Well done gutter!

Up and down for the norwegian team...

The wind wasnt today the best again at the hill, but possible to jump anyway. Farest norwegian at the hill was one time more Jarl with a great jump over 130 m. But he was DSQ after it because of his suit.

So best norwegian after the first part was Magnus. He reached great 124m and placed as 8th with 1:04 min behind Jumpingwinner Eric Frenzel (138m). Espen & Jørgen was ranked as 11th and 12th 1:15 min back with good jumps at 123m and 122,5m. Håvard had as well a better jump at 124,5m and started as 14th into his race. Mikko´s jumps are getting more stabile, he jumped 115,5m and were 2:12 min behind the top.

The race were at the front very clear and Eric Frenzel won his next race with a big lead. But behind him there was a big group with Jørgen, Magnus and Espen fighting for the podium. At the last lap this group was able to chaught Watabe and Seidl in front. Jørgen and Magnus made a good job as well with the germans Kircheisen and Rydzek. At the last hill it was fight between 7 atheltes for the podium behind Frenzel. It was close like at Saturdays race until the finish line. Jørgen was fighting there with Rydzek and Watabe for place 2. But the german was to strong again and get the 2nd place ahead Watabe. Another strong german at the track, Fabian Riessle was fighting against Jørgen, but today our norwegian was stronger at the finish and Jørgen finished as strong 4th! Magnus had at the last hill problems to follow the others and Mikko was run forward to this group with him as well. Mikko had a awesome run with the fastest time at the track and finished as 9th after his 10 km. Magnus safed a rank into Top 10 as well as 10th! The race was a bit to much for Espen, he placed 16th in the end. Håvard had a good solid race and placed 23th at the last race in Italy.

Amazing norwegian Victory....

Today it was beautiful weather but as on Friday the wind was difficult again. The Germans with GER 2 (Rießle & Weber) werent to beat at the hill, but Espen and Jørgen did a great job at the hill with 121m and 125m and were able to jump close to the top. Our Team started only 5 seconds behind the germans.

The Race was close and 6 teams (NOR, GER, ITA, FIN, CZE, JPN) were skiing together in the front. First at the last lap Jørgen tried to get a gap to the others at the last hill. But all were really strong and Norway won the race very close ahead of Czech Republic and Italy at there homeground. Congrats that much!

Our second team with Magnus M & Magnus K weren´t able to compete because of a incury of Magnus Moan. He has again problems with a tendon and traveld to Germany for better check up. We hope the best for him and hope he will back soon as possible!

Best teamresult of our norwegians in this season...

The Jumping part wasnt that easy for all because of chancing the windconditions the after 30 atheltes until the end. Magnus Krog had a great jump at 127,5m and could start as 5th 48 seconds behind the austrian Mario Seidl. Espen had a solid jump at 125m and were 8th and 1:02 min back. Indeed Magnus M is back stronger than before and had a great jump at 120m and started 1:43 min as 23th behind with his teammate Jørgen.
Håvard is still searching his good performance at the hill and reached with 113,5m position 26. Nearly the same for Mikko, he was 39th with 2:30 min back.

During the race the snow was back and the track wasnt that fast with new snow. Magnus K did a good job in a group with teammate Espen, Costa, Weber and Watabe. They started 20 sec behind World Cup Leader Eric Frenzel but wasnt able to caught him. While the race Magnus M could run forward with Jørgen and strong german Johannes Rydzek. At the last lap it was a bigger group fighting for place 2, because Frenzel was run forward with a big lead. Magnus M was strong at the last hill and tried together with Magnus K to run for the podium. But at the last meters Rydzek was to strong and get place 2 behind Frenzel. Magnus M get the last place at the podium! Behind him it was very close with Espen and Magnus K at rank 4 and 5! Also Jørgen could finish in Top 10 as 9th! Well done guys - great result!

Mikko had a great race today as well and were 13th after his 10km. Only Håvard wasnt race today to safe some energy for the next days.

Strong race in the end...

Our best from Saturday was as well the best Norwegian at the hill again. Espen did a good jump at 92,5m and were placed as 6th with 28 seconds behind jumping winner Mario Seidl (AUT). Jørgen done a better jump today and was only 41 seconds behind the top as 10th. Håvard is still struggeling with his jumps and were only 21th (1 min). Same for Jan, he started 4 seconds behind his teammate as 24th into his race.
Magnus ranked 33th with 1:18 min behind, Mikko and Truls went together into there 10 km as 41th and 42th with 1:37 min back.

During the race, Espen did a great job and were able to run a long time with the germans, Frenzel, Riessle, Geiger and Akito Watabe. But the last lap was to much for him and he lost the sprint with his teammate Jørgen for place 7 at the finish line.
Indeed Mikko did an awesome race short behind and run forward with the 2nd time to place 13! Same great performance from Truls as well who raced forward to place 16! Well done guys!
Håvard came as 17th behind him into the finish, Magnus raced forward as 21th into the points. Only Jan had bigger problems during his 10 km and run behind as 41th after it.

Step forward for all norwegians....

Espen is getting a better shape competition after competition. Like in Lillehammer, he was as well today the best norwegian at the hill. After yesterday victory at PCR, he were able to jump again to the top. He jumped 95m with one Gate less and were 5th, 15 seconds behind Eric Frenzel (100,5m).
Magnus K has as well a better day at the hill and placed 12th with 40 seconds back. Same like for Jan, was 16th only 8 seconds behind Magnus.
But Håvard is again struggeling with his jumps, he reached 92,5m and started as 27. with 58 seconds behind. Mikko started 10 behind him as 32. Jørgen lost as well a bit his focus at the hill. He were 37th (1:11 min), Truls 48th (1:42 min)

The 10 km race were very close until the finish line. Espen did a great race and were able to race until the last lap with German Vinzenz Geiger and the Austrians David Pommer and Mario Seidl. Last lap he must let go Geiger, but was strong enough to finish as 5th! He was the first non-german behind Winner Rydzek, Rießle, Frenzel and Geiger.

Jørgen had a awesome race as well. He run in the big group and, also if he felt one time there at the uphill. But he fight back and finished as 8th!
Also Magnus raced better today than in Lillehammer. He finished as well in Top 15 as 14th. Håvard were as well again at the points and finished as 22th after his 10km. Same as Mikko, he were at place 24.

First podium of the season...

At the last race in Lillehammer it was time for the large hill.

The conditions were a bit tricky, it changed often from up to downwind, but possible for everyone. Best after the first part of the day was our best in the overall. Jørgen had a perfect flight at 137 m and placed as 5th with 19 sec behind the first Watanabe and only 14 sec behind the longest, Eric Frenzel (139 m) and Björn Kircheisen.
Magnus K had as well a better jump today and was with 131,5 m at position 13 with 54 sec back. Nearly a same good jump had Harald with 130m as 20th with 1:15 min behind.
Håvard struggled also a bit at the bigger hill and reached position 26 (1:30 min) with his jump at 127,5m. As well Espen A had not his best day at the hill, he placed as 32. with 1:35 min back. Jan started as 41. with 2:17 min into his 10 km; Sindre as 46. with 2:40 min; Truls as 50. with 2:53 min. Mikko and Magnus M are still searching better jumps again, both started 3:16 min after the first as 52. and 53. Espen B was placed as 58. with 4:16 min back.

The 2 Germans did a perfect job at the front and run a strong race together until the finish line. Frenzel was in the end a bit stronger as his teammate and could celebrate his next victory after yesterday again! Behind Jørgen made a good race but wasnt able to close the gap to the top and raced his race alone. After his 10 km he was really happy about his place at the podium as 3.! Congrats to all, really deserved for everyone! :)

The "Early Bird" is called Espen...

The jumping part today was still in the dark morning of Lillehammer. Espen did a great job at the hill with his 101 m and placed third with 23 seconds behind the first, german Johannes Rydzek(104,5m).

Jan Schmid had his own worldcup opening today and placed as 22. with 94,5 m (1:15 min back). Our best in the overall so far, Jørgen, had a solid jump at 93,5 m, mean place 25 with 1:23 min behind.
Håvard is still searching his shape at the hill from the last season again, he placed 31. with 1:29 min back. Same time for Magnus K as 32th.
Sindre, who get the chance at the competition for Jarl Magnus, who is sick again, placed as 35th with 1:35 min back to the top. Mikko started as 40. with 1:51 min into the race, Harald Riiber with 2:07 min as 46.

So it was a race with close times and everything possible as well for fast athletes at the track.
Espen did a good job at the front with Frenzel and Watabe until round 3. After it, he tried his best and after his 10 km he finished as 6. - his best world cup result so far! :) Only Watabe and 4(!) Germans was better than he. Eric Frenzel had a awesome race and get the Victory ahead of his teammates Rydzek and Riessle. Congrats to all!

Indeed, our 2 strongest at the track, Jørgen and Mikko made a great race and run forward into Top 10 as 8th and 9th. Well done guys!

Magnus shape isnt the best at the moment, but he reached still a few WC Points as 28th. Jan lost the chance for points at his first race close as 31. Sindre and Harald were as well out of points at places 41 and 42.

In the end, our team had a few good moments today and are able to work on it now.

At the race, Mikko and Espen did an good job and placed the team at the second position, still 1 min behind the German Team. Håvard and Jørgen could run with a good pace and made the gap to the following Austrians bigger.

Jarl´s performance is just aweome....

After our youngest wasnt able to compete the race in Villach, Jarl was fit again now in at the Final SGP Weekend. His jumpinglevel is still not to beat. So he jumped with 128m at the first rank again with a lead of 1:04 min of the next ones.

Håvard wasnt to bad again as well and reached position 5 with with 1:31 min behind his teammate.

Jan was as 13th 1:59 min back. Magnus started as 28 2:48 min after Jarl. Espen had a bader day and was with 109m only 37. with 3 min behind.

For the following athletes it wasnt possible to catch Jarl in front. So he could celebrate a perfect start-finish victory like one week ago in Oberwiesenthal! Two germans, localhero Johannes Rydzek and Björn Kircheisen made the podium complete. Congrats!

Jan had a solid performance on the track today and finished as 13th in the end. Magnus came into the finish short behind him, with again a great race and the third fastest racetime!

Espen was able to collect some points with rank 26 after his 10km. Only for Håvard was it to much, he couldnt finish his race.

Summer GP the second...

The weather was beautiful in the Alps, but the wind was as well not that easy to handle. But for Jarl it wasnt a problem either, his jumpinglevel is still impressive. He won the Jumpinground again with 27sec ahead of Lukas Klapfer. Håvard was 3th only 2 seconds behind.

Jan had as well a better jump and placed 7th with 50 sec behind Jarl.

Espen is still searching solid jumps and started as 26. with 1:47 min back. Magnus was 41. with 2:16 min.

Unfortunately Jarl had again some problems with his shoulder and wasnt able to compete at the race. So Håvard and Jan were our 2 best hopes for places at the podium. Both did a great race and run a longer time togehter in a bigger group behind the austrain. But only Håvard had enough energy in the last lap to fight for the podium. In the end he finished third behind the winner Mario Seidl and german Fabian Rießle. Jan raced at rank 8 in the end.

Espen had a good race and could run forward from 26 up to 21 after his 10km. Indeed Magnus run up to position 28 with the third fastest racingtime.

Hard race with difficult windconditions and hot temperatures...

The performance from our youngest, Jarl, was very awesome at his first competition in O´thal. He jumped great 101m and had a lead with 1:09 min ahead of the following athletes. Second best norwegian was Håvard placed as 6th with 98,5m and 1:24 min back behind Jarl. Jan had again a good jump at 97m and started as 10th only 3 sec behind his teammate.

Indeed Espen and Magnus hadnt that much luck at the hill with 88m and 86m. That meandes place 39 and 40 with 2:56 min back behind.

Jarl was able to race his own pace and could celebrate an awesome victory! Grattis så mye Jarl! :)

Austrian Mario Seidl was second, localhero Björn Kircheisen complete the podium today.

Jan had a solid race as well and placed as 9th in the end.

Magnus raced an great time at the track and were able to finish in Top 20 as 18th. Great performance with this conditions!
