Happy End for the norwegian team at the last competition of  this season...

At the last day their was once more real winter weather. During the 2 jumping rounds was light snowfall with mostly upwind at the hill. There was good flying conditions for all and we saw a new hill record from Akito Watabe at 108m, after Eric Frenzel jumped the record yesterday with 107m.

Unexpected 1st after 2 jumps was local hero Manuel Faißt with jumps at 103m & 102m, 27 sec ahead of Akito Watabe.

Jan had again 2 very good jumps at 102,5m/100,5m and was 3th with 45 sec behind Faißt. Håvard jumped 97m & 102,5m and was placed 7th with 1:22 min back. Jørgen had again 2 perfect jumps (98,5m/101,5m) and could start as 13th with 1:41 min into his 15km. Magnus K could reach a solid 19th position with jumps at 97m/95,5m and was 2:19 min back to the top. Also Magnus M was able to show another 2 confident jumps with 95m & 94m, what meaned a 26th position with 2:59 min behind. Mikko jumped 90,5m and a better one at 96m and could start 18 sec behind Magnus as 27th.

Jan had a good start into his race and was able to caught Watabe during the first lap. Both could close the gap during the second lap to Faißt as well. Jan did an awesome job in front and could hold his first position with Akito a longer time.

Indeed Jørgen was fighting with a bigger group behind and cought at lap 3 WC Overall winner Eric Frenzel, who started 30 sec infront him together with austrian Lukas Klapfer. It seemed this 3 and another group short behind with Fabian Rießle and Johannes Rydzek was fighting for the last podium position behind Jan and Watabe.

But unfortunately Jan lost his pace during the last 2km and the group with Jørgen was very strong and able to close this gap at the last lap.

In the end it was another close final between Jørgen and Fabian. Today both had enough space to eachother and Jørgen was able to get the victory! Lukas Klapfer could complete the podium as third.

Jan could finish as 5th in the end which is still a great result from him after his 15km! Behind the top 10, Magnus K & Magnus M made a good job as well and finished as 11th and 12th. Also Håvard get another top 20 result as 16th in the end. Mikko had a good pace at the start, struggeled a bit in the middle but neverthless he had a good performance and finished his season as 20th.

All in all it was a great final and the victory made it really special for the whole team. It was a happy ending after this days with all the trouble between the germans and our norwegians!

Another day with a lot of trouble after the finish line...

Todays competition was overshadowed again from the decision of the Jury after the race.

But first of all, the jumping part was quit good for our norwegians. Best at the hill was again Håvard with the longest jump today. He jumped 103,5m and had the lead ahead of Akito Watabe. Magnus K had another good day at the hill with 98m. He was 30 sec behind his team mate in a group with Eric Frenzel (31sec) and Jan (32sec). Indeed Jørgen had a jump at 95,5m which meaned rank 29 with 1:09m behind. Mikko was 1 sec behind him as 30th. Only Magnus M struggeled more today. He reached only 91m and was 1:31 min behind Håvard.

Luckely the weather was better without any snowfall at the race and the track was prepared well. Unfortunatetly Håvard coulnt hold his position and so Akito took the lead soon. The group around Magnus K and Jan was able to cought him soon as well. Like at the half a group with Magnus, Jan, Akito & Eric was fighting for the podium. It was a fast race in front and at the last lap Akito wasnt able to run it. Soon Jan had to let go Eric and Magnus as well. But his gap to Akito was big enough to get the 3th place.

It was a fight until the finish line with a fotofinish. After a few minutes the Jury decided Magnus as winner of this race.

But not with the germans... They announced a prodest against him. It tooked a really long time to decide who gets the victory. In the end the Jury dsq Magnus because a closely fight with Eric one corner before the finish. It was a big lack of understanding in the norwegian team and all other athletes. Also Eric meaned it was a normal race sitution what can happen...

But after a long discussion Eric get the victory ahead of Jan who performed really well today with the 4th racetime. Akito Watabe made the podium complete then.

Behind all that trouble Jørgen did an awesome job with the best racetime. He run forward from 29 up to the 5th rank! Well done!

Also Mikko had a great day at the track and could run from 31 as well in Top 10 and finished as 8th in the end. The same for Magnus M today who raced the 3th time and run from 39 up to 13th place. Also with Magnus K, all this 5 guys had a really good shape and where really fast on the track. Great team performance again!

In the end Håvard could finished as 20th today.

After the sun comes the rain...also in Italy...

At least if we took a look at the weather. Rain and warm temperatures made it hard for organizers and the athletes. Special the inrun at the hill get really wet and slower. Additional backwind made it even more difficult to jump far.

But again the best after that was Eric Frenzel. He had the longest jump with 120,5m and 24 sec ahead of his teammate Tobias Simon.

Håvard was again the best norwegian, placed 3th with 47 sec behind Eric. Magnus K get better at the hill and was 5th with 1:07 min back. Jørgen and Jan had solid jumps and were placed as 15th (1:41 min) and 18th (1:49 min) after the first part. Magnus M and Mikko werent also not so far away with positions 25 (2:08 min) and 28 (2:13 min) to go for better results.

At the race, Eric was able to run 3 laps alone in the front. Magnus took the lead in a smaller group behind him. But he searched soon the way forward, only Willi Denifl could follow him for like 2 laps. After that Magnus was able to close the gap to Eric as well.

Indeed a bigger group with Jørgen and Jan were able to move forward. Bothe made a great job at the track. In the last lap Jørgen could go ahead at this group with german Fabian Rießle and austrian Lukas Klapfer and caught. The fight for rank 3 was opened. At the last hill Rießle and Klapfer falled down in a difficult corner, this was the chance for Jørgen to get a small gap between him and the others. Also Frenzel wasnt strong enough also for this group and had to past all this guys.

In the end Magnus K  get the victory 5 sec ahead his teammate Jørgen, who was the fastest man at the track today! Rießle could complete the podium as 3th today. Frenzel finished as 4th today and could celebrate his 4th sucess at the overall! Big congrats for this awesome performance to him!

Jan did also a great job and could run with the 3th racetime from 18 up to 6th rank! The strongest race for him so far, well done! Behind the Top 10 also Mikko could run forward and finished as 12. at this difficult competition. For Magnus was it to heavy today. He came one position behind Mikko over the finish line. Only Håvard had much more problems with that conditions, but was also able to get a good result at rank 15.

It looked like that the norwegians like that heavy conditions more than the other nations - it was again a awesome teamperformance!

One of the hardest races this season...

The conditions wasnt that easy as well today morning with changing wind at the hill. Eric Frenzel who had the longest jump with 133,5 m today took the lead ahead of austrian Bernhard Gruber with 22 sec.

Best norwegian was again Håvard with 127m, placed as 4th with 43 sec behind Eric. The jumps from Magnus K getting better and better. He jumped 123,5m, meaned position 10 with 1:16 min back. Jan jumped solid 122,5m and started as 12th only 5 sec behind Magnus. Also the jumps from Jørgen (120,5m - 1:28 min) and Magnus M (121m - 1:42 min) are getting better in the end of this season.

Only Mikko havent found a solution now. He was placed with 109m as 38th 3:07 min back.

The track was really heavy today because of the warm weather this days. A suprise was the performance of Bernhard Gruber. He could close the gap to Eric at the first lap and get the victory with a bigger gap ahead of him.

Jørgen run like 9km of the race in a group also with his teammates Magnus K and Jan. This group wasnt that fast and had a fight for position 3. At the last lap Jørgen was getting stronger and was able together with Magnus K and Lukas Klapfer to run ahead. In the end Jørgen had still the most energy and finished with the fastest racetime as third! Magnus K reached the fourth position behind him. Indeed Jan was fighting with Rießle, Seidl and Denifl for rank 6, but finished as 8th in the end.

Another norwegian was able to run into top 10. Magnus M did also a good job at the track with the 5th racetime as 10th. What another great teamperformance, congrats guys!

Håvard came as 16. into finish and cought a few points again. Only Mikko couldnt finish the race....the conditions was to heavy for him and he safed his energy for tomorrows competition.

Travelling from winter into spring....

After Lahti we have another teamsprint competition.

The conditions wasnt always easy at the jumping part. After the first jumpers had wind from behind, a strong upwind was coming for the last 10 athletes.

Magnus K & Jørgen for NOR 1 were very strong at the hill today and able to took the lead short in front of FRA 1 and AUT 2 with 11 sec behind. NOR 2 with Magnus M and Jan started as 8th with 49 sec back. The jump from Magnus was really good, but today Jan lost a few meters at the hill.

During the race NOR 1 was able to run always in front since the first lap. The gap to FRA 1 and the following teams get bigger and bigger each lap. In the end Jørgen and Magnus K made an awesome job the whole day and get the victory ahead of GER 1 and FRA 1. Very well done!

Indeed NOR 2 could also run foward during the race. Jan was able at his last lap to close the gap to FRA 1, GER 1 and AUT 1 - a fight for position 2 and the podium!

Unfortunately Magnus M wasnt able to hold his position and lost a lot energy. But NOR 2 could finished with the fastest racetime as 5th in the end. A very nice result for all 4 norwegians today, strong team performance!!

Last day at the scandinavien tour with better jumps...

After snowfall in Lahti, also in Kuopio was still real winter. Today their had perfect jumping conditions with good upwind for all atheltes.

Winner of the first part was Akito Watabe in front of Håvard who had the longest jump with 131m. He was only 8 sec behind Akito. Jan had again a good jump with 124,5m and was 1:00 min back as 9th, same time with the worldcupleader Eric Frenzel.

Jan was able to go with Eric the whole race. After 3 laps, the group with Magnus K, who started as 15th with 25 sec behind Jan, and Jørgen as 16th cought them from behind. This big group with more than 10 athletes was fighting for the places behind the podium. Jørgen was able to get forward and could win the sprint against Fabian Rießle and Ilkka Herola and finished as 4th in the end! Jan was at the last lap in the middle of that group and finished at his startposition as 9th - his ninth Top 10 result for him that season! In the end he always gets in a better and solid shape! Well done Jan! Magnus K lost the finishsprint against Jan and placed as 10th today.

Mikko, who had a better jump today and started as 25th 1:58 min behind Akito, had again a strong race and finished as 20th with the third racetime! Magnus M had as well a solid jump, but wasnt able to improve himself that much at the track and finished as 23th. Håvard looked like that he lost a lot energy in Lahti and had to fight again against himself and was 24th after his 10km.

At the last race in Lahti, one year before the Championships, the jumping round was cancelled because of to much wind.

So they took the PCR for the race. Our youngest, Jarl, was the winner ahead of Akito Watabe with 2 sec. But because of yesterdays incury he wasnt able to compete today. Håvard started as 5th 52 sec behind, followed by Jan as 6th only 1 sec behind.

Jan tried to close the gap to Eric Frenzel and Fabian Rießle (32 sec & 40 sec), but the 2 germans were to strong for him. He lost a lot engery for that at the first lap, but he could hold a big lead of the following group behind him until the last lap. At the last meters he was fighting with Ilkka Herola for position 5 and was able to win the finishsprint against him. Lahti seems to be a good place for Jan, he can be satisfied with his places 3 & 5 at the individual competitions this weekend! Well done, Jan!

During that fight, Magnus K run again the best time and was able to run forward from position 29 to rank 10 - a very strong race! Our second Magnus had as well a good race with the 4th fastest time at the track. He went from 27 up to a top 15 position. Our World Cup rooky Espen could reach his best WC result with a great 20th place at the end, well done!

Winner of today was Fabian Rießle ahead of his teammate Eric. Akito Watabe complete the podium as 3th. Congrats for that!

Another race with a lot drama in the end...

Jarl and Jan, racing for NOR 1, has another good day at the hill. Jan had the longest jump with 128m of the day. Our youngest was able with an reduced inrun to jump 124m. This meaned the lead for this 2 after the jumping part with 57 sec ahead of the second team, GER 1 with Rydzek & Rießle.

NOR 2 with Jørgen & Håvard were 4th with 1:38 min back.

Jan and Jarl did a great race and were able to hold the lead, also indeed the germans closed the gap during the race round by round. Jan run a great last lap against Johannes Rydzek and both handed over at the same time to Jarl and Rießle. Unfortunately Jarl was maybe a bit to over motivated and crashed on the first corner. Out of cameras everybody was shocked what happend with him. After he had a medical check at the hospital was announced, that Jarl had dislocated his shoulder. Really disappointed for our team, who had a good chance to get the victory at this competition...

Indeed NOR 2 was fighting as well for the last position at the podium behind GER 1 and AUT 1. It was really close finish between Philipp Orter (AUT 2), Manuel Faisst (GER 2), Maxime Laheurte (FRA) and Håvard. In the end NOR 2 was 5th behind the germans and austrians.

Up and down for our norwegians today...

After yesterdays PCR was cancelled because of to much wind, todays conditions have been much better and fair for the athletes.

Best after the first part at the hill was again Jarl with a strong jump at 127,5m. Håvard was as second 28 sec behind him. Also Jan had a good day again with 124m at the hill and could start as 5th into the race. It looked like good chances to a podium for the team.

Our youngest Jarl was able to hold the leading position until the last lap. In the group behind him, Jan could run with the two best at the overall, Eric Frenzel and Akito Watabe for the podium until km 9. 200m before finish it was a fight for the victory between Jarl, Eric and Akito. Unfortunately Jarl took the wrong lane at the last turn and became DSQ because he left the right track. Winner was then Eric Frenzel ahead of Akito Watabe. It was a big disapointment for the team, but the lucky norwegian was Jan, who took the 3th rank. His first podium this season - big congrats for that Jan!

Also Håvard had a good day and was able to finish as 4th at the end. Magnus K, who started as 28th could run with the third time forward to position 14. Magnus M was behind him as 15th, followed by Jørgen as 16th. All had same good times at the track. But the best racetime had Mikko today, who could run from 38th to place 20 after his 10km.

Espen could selected again some wc points as 27th today.

Eric Frenzel made history again...

The second day at Granåsen was again excited. During the jumping part was still a bit snowfall, but the conditions was good and quiet fair.

Jarl had the best jump of all norwegians with great 135m. Unfortunately he jumped more on the right side and his left ski opend after landing and falled. So he was only 10. with 1:41 min back. But he had luck and dont hurt himself!

Håvard was today the best norwegian with 130m, but 39 sec behind the first, Akito Watabe, who jumped awesome 137,5m.

Jan had again at a good position as 8. with 1:38 min back. As 11., with 1:46 min back meaned a lot of work for Jørgen to go for the podium. But he was able with Jan to go forward lap by lap. Jan and Jørgen was fighting and working a lot infront of a big group with 5-7 other athletes. After 7 km their could caugth as well Håvard, who had to fight a lot against himself.

At 9,2 km Jørgen and a suprising Ilkka Herola could go ahead the others. But Jørgen was a bit stronger and finished again at the podium - today as third! Strong races this days in Trondheim - Stor gratulerer Jørgen!!! :)

Jan wasnt able to follow Jørgen the last meters, but could finished at a strong 6. place - best position after Oslo again! Well done, Jan! :)

Håvard was able to finished as 7. after a good targetsprint against 3 other guys.

It was also a tough race for Jarl, he could follow Jørgen only until the third lap. But after the crash we are still satisfied that he could finished as 12. in the end.

Magnus K indeed had again a bad jump, but run with the 5. racetime from position 36 up to 19.

Also Mikko could run with the 4. time from 38. in the points up to 22. rank in the end. Magnus M could select the last point at position 30, who started as 39.

Heia Norge igjen...

At the first day in Trondheim was perfect winter weather with fair condititions for all athletes.

Best norwegian after the jumping part was again our youngster Jarl. He could jump great 131,5m and was the first on the track with 16 sec ahead of the second, Håvard, who jumped 130,5m. It was a tough race infront, because Japanese best, Akito Watabe was as 3. only 33 sec behind. Worldcupleader Eric Frenzel had 57 sec to Jarl. He could run the whole race with Jørgen, who started as 8. with 1:04 min back. Both was fighting until they cought Jarl in the last lap. At the last hill Jørgen could go infront and was a bit stronger then Eric at this point. It was an awesome race with the second racetime for Jørgen and he earned his first victory of this season at his hometrack. Gratulerer Jørgen!

Eric could get the 2. position ahead of Jarl, who was able to complete the podium. Good job again Jarl!

Håvard could finished as 7. in the end. Jan, who started as 10. with 1:18 min back, did a good race and was able to go with Fabian Rießle and was fighting for 5. position. But unfortunately he lost a lot time at the last lap and finished as 12. short behind Magnus M, who did a great race from 27 up to 11. position. Also Magnus K had a good run and cought a few wc points from 38 up to 22. in the end. For Mikko was it not the best day again. He jumped only 107,5m and had 3 min back to the top. But he was able to run aswell in the points from 41 up to 27.

Heia Norge...

The Holmenkollen was typical fogy today during the Jumping round and the race. But the conditions was nearly the same for everyone.

Jarl had an amazing jump at 130m in the morning and tooked the lead with 1:10 min ahead of Eric Frenzel and Akito Watabe. Jarl did a great job at the track and was able to celebrate his first World Cup victory ahead of Akito & Eric! Stor grattis Jarl :)

Also Jan had a great jump at 123m and started as 4. at the track with 1:29 min behind Jarl. He was able to run with a bigger group, later aswell with Jørgen, who started as 14. with 2 min back. In the end Jan could get his best result this season at a good 6. place - Well done Jan! Jørgen was short behind him as 7.

The other guys had not the best day. Magnus K could close one minute to the front, but that means only place 20. from 25 in the end. Mikko was able to run from 37 up to the 22. position with a good time on the track. Unfortunally he is still searching his shape at the jumping hill. Magnus M ran from 33 up to 23. place. We hope he will find his great shape from December soon as possible again.

Espen Andersen did a good job at the World Cup again and get a few WC points with his ran from 31. up to 28.

So only Håvard wasnt able to get points today. He had a unlucky jump and was at position 34 after the race.
